Jonathon Anderson has been both administrator and vendor for large academic, research, and commercial HPC systems, with experiences in systems engineering, software development, and open source project leadership. At CIQ he works primarily on the Fuzzball performance computing platform and the Warewulf cluster provisioning system.
Rani Bhuva is a principal at Ernst & Young LLP, with more than 20 years of experience providing analytics-driven risk and finance transformation services to financial services clients. Rani has worked with several global financial institutions in the strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale risk and finance transformation initiatives, including deploying and managing artificial intelligence (AI) to support finance and risk management functions. Rani currently works with financial services clients to create and maintain purposeful, agile, and vigilant governance for artificial intelligence. Rani earned her SB in Mathematics with Computer Science, SB in Management Science, and Minor in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mandy Birch is CEO and Founder of TreQ, a high-level manufacturing and systems engineering company expediting next-generation computing clusters. A global executive engineer with decades of experience in national security and quantum computing, she’s led teams of 50,000+ people, brokered over 600 complex multi-sector partnerships, and demonstrated agility between start-ups and large enterprises. Passionate about building thriving multinational teams to unlock disruptive ideas, Mandy also helped drive a quantum computing company from its early stages through a successful IPO. She holds degrees from the US Air Force Academy, MIT, and the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy.

Mike Bloom has worked closely with television, telecom, healthcare, finance, and advertising industries since the early 1990s, largely involving the operation and development of infrastructure, data analytics, and data management. Mike’s position with past storage vendors and his current position at WEKA as an AI Solution Architect provide him with opportunities to inspect a diverse range of workflows within Deep Learning and Generative AI.

Jay Boisseau is an experienced, recognized leader and strategist in advanced computing technologies, with over 25 years in the field. Jay is CEO and co-founder of Vizias, a small consultancy with expertise in HPC, AI,  technology community building, and technology event support. Jay also serves as the executive director and founder of The Austin Forum on Technology & Society. Recent major work included serving as the HPC & AI Technology Strategist for Dell Technologies and leading and greatly expanding the global Dell HPC Community. Formerly, Jay created and led the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at The University of Texas at Austin and worked at the San Diego Supercomputer Center and the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center. He received his doctorate in astronomy from UT Austin, and his undergraduate degree in astronomy and physics from the University of Virginia.

Jeff Chu is Senior Sales Director at Penguin Solutions, managing the Financial Services vertical. Penguin has sold and delivered some of the largest AI factories in the world, with over 75,000 GPUs under management. Jeff enjoys helping customers succeed with their initiatives on large-scale GPU clusters and driving business value using the latest technology from Penguin’s partners. Prior to joining Penguin, Jeff enjoyed success at EMC, CA, Hitachi, Infinidat, and Pavilion. He has specialized in leading and building sales teams that provide material benefit to new and existing customers. Jeff is a graduate of Rutgers University.

Throughout his career, Roman has held pivotal roles at major public cloud providers. He led the Azure FinTech division at Microsoft, contributed to the incubation of the AWS FinTech Market at Amazon, and established and managed the Financial Services vertical at Google Cloud. Currently, Roman directs strategy for large-scale computing and data-intensive workloads at IBM within the Wall Street sector. Roman is also the co-founder of Concourse Labs, a venture-backed SaaS company specializing in automated cloud governance solutions. These solutions facilitate the secure and efficient adoption of Cloud Computing for the Financial Services vertical. Roman’s decade-long tenure at Platform Computing solidified his reputation as a business architect of Grid Computing for Wall Street, particularly with Symphony, recognized as the industry standard Grid Software solution. He effectively managed IBM’s 2012 acquisition and its integration into the Financial Services Vertical, serving top-tier financial institutions. Roman holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto and currently resides in New York.
Kiranjot Dhillon is a Senior Manager in the data and analytics practice at EY. She is an AI leader and works with Financial Services clients to drive AI adoption and generate value while managing associated AI risks. Kiranjot has led several large-scale AI transformation initiatives spanning development and responsible deployment of AI solutions to enhance operations, manage risks, and elevate customer experiences. Prior to EY, Kiranjot worked as a software engineer in the mobile application development space. She holds an MS in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BTech in Information Technology from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, India.

Douglas Eadline, PhD, began his career as Analytical Chemist with an interest in high performance computer methods. Starting with the first Beowulf “How-To” document, Doug has written hundreds of articles, white papers, and instructional documents covering many aspects of Linux HPC, Hadoop, and Data Analytics computing. Prior to launching and editing the popular ClusterMonkey.net website in 2005, he served as editor-in-chief for ClusterWorld Magazine and was senior HPC Editor for Linux Magazine. Doug is author of several books and instructional videos covering the practical aspects of HPC and scalable tools for data science.

Motti Finkelstein is the Corporate Vice President – Chief Information Officer (CIO), leading the Global IT organization at Intel Corporation. As CIO, Motti is focused on delivering digital business outcomes while optimizing and automating IT capabilities. The scope of his responsibilities includes data and analytics, IT support for Intel’s corporate functions and supply chain organizations, manufacturing IT, help desks, end-user technologies, architecture, and infrastructure. Prior to this, Motti was the Chief Technology Officer at Bank of Montreal Capital Markets, where his responsibilities included architecture definition and management, data architecture, IT strategy formulation, and engineering. Motti was also a Senior Advisor at McKinsey and was at Citi/Citigroup for over twenty years as the Global CTO of Strategy and Planning and CTO of the Americas. Motti drove Global Strategy and Planning, creating a culture of innovation and agility in the areas of Cloud, Big Data, Software Defined Data Centers, Robotics Process Automation, and User Experience. Motti holds an M.B.A. in International Business from the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College and a Bachelor of Technology & Applied Sciences in Computer Software Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Technology (Lev Institute).

David Flynn is a recognized leader in IT innovation who has been architecting disruptive computing platforms since his early work in supercomputing and Linux systems. David pioneered the use of flash for enterprise application acceleration as founder and former CEO of Fusion-io, which was acquired by SanDisk in 2014. Previously, David served as Chief Architect at Linux Networx, where he was instrumental in the creation of the OpenFabrics stack and designed several of the world’s largest supercomputers leveraging Linux clustering, InfiniBand, and RDMA-based technologies. David has also served as Project BlackDog’s Chief Scientist and Vice President of Engineering and held positions at Network Computer Inc. and Liberate Technologies, a spin-off of Oracle Corporation that developed thin-client solutions. David holds more than 100 patents in areas across web browser technologies, mobile device management, network switching, and protocols to distributed storage systems.

Arti Garg is Chief Strategist for the AI Solutions business at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. As part of her role, she oversees HPE’s advanced AI technology programs, including the AI Advance start-up program and advanced AI processor partnerships. Over her career, she has held several data science leadership roles in the computing and industrial sectors. In the past, Dr. Garg has also worked in the U.S. government at the White House Budget Office and as a legislative adviser in the U.S. Congress. She holds a PhD in Physics and an MS in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering.
Tony Gaughan is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of morphing, which he launched in 2024 with co-founder and COO Paul Buttle and co-founder and CTO Luca Gibelli. Tony is the visionary behind the morphing product and platform strategy, making AI work securely for the enterprise. He leads the company in its mission to empower enterprises to securely exploit Generative AI’s productivity potential. Tony’s extensive prior experience includes leading and guiding multiple early stage startups through growth to successful exits and as a senior executive focused on product and engineering with some of the world’s most successful enterprise software companies, including Oracle, Peoplesoft, CA, and Proofpoint.
David (Dave) Godlove has a user-focused background and a love of containers. He began his career studying topics such as consciousness, decision making, and error monitoring as a classically-trained Neurophysiologist. As a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health, Dave used the Biowulf cluster to analyze fMRI images and perform signal processing on intracranial recordings and became fascinated by HPC. He joined the Biowulf group as a staff scientist, helping to develop and promote the use of Linux containers in HPC. Dave worked as the release manager and a community leader for Apptainer (then Singularity). He later joined CIQ as a Solutions Architect, and currently works as the Lead Technical Product Writer, documenting the HPC 2.0 solution Fuzzball. Dave holds a doctorate in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Radford University.
Rajeeb (Raj) Hazra is CEO of Quantinuum and has more than three decades of experience in supercomputing, quantum, and technical roles across the globe. Prior to joining Quantinuum, he served as the General Manager, Compute and Networking Business Unit at Micron Technologies and spent 25 years at Intel Corporation, leading the Enterprise and Government Group, Technical Computing Group, Supercomputer Architecture and Planning, and Systems Technology Research. Before joining Intel in 1995, Raj was with the Lockheed Corporation, based at NASA’s Langley Research Center. He prides himself on building high-performing teams with a growth mindset and a culture of truth and transparency. Raj has a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, U.S., and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India, and holds 16 patents.
Jeff Karmiol is a Senior Product Manager for IBM Platform Computing. Prior to this role, Jeff was a Product Marketing Manager for Spectrum Computing and a PM for HPC Cloud at IBM and Platform Computing. Jeff developed his PM skills at PlateSpin, Novell, and BorderWare Technologies, where he managed disaster recovery and security software and appliance programs. Before diving into Product Management, Jeff had a successful, decade-long career as a technical writer that culminated in managing a team of information developers focusing on usability and the user experience. Jeff started his 30-year career after earning a degree in Computer Science at York University in Toronto, Canada.
Matthew is a Senior Solutions Architect at IBM with more than a decade of experience working with HPC storage and parallel filesystems. Matthew supports users in Financial Services, Medical Research, Automotive, and Manufacturing, along with many other disciplines.
Jay Modh is a seasoned business and technology leader with a vast and diverse background in advanced technology solutions and business services. He has a strong track record of building state-of-the-art Cloud (Public/Hybrid/Private) and SDx infrastructures for global enterprises. His expertise encompasses Cloud Transformation/Migration, Data Engineering — including Database, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake (BI & AI/ML) — as well as Cloud Security & GRC, DevSecOps & Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Application Delivery/Modernization/Containers/Serverless, and SDDC & SDx.
In addition to his technical prowess, Jay is an active venture capitalist, strategically investing in B2B and B2B2C startups within the Cyber Security, Cloud, Containers, Data, and FinTech sectors. He leverages his deep knowledge of AI/ML and Deep Learning to guide these startups, providing critical funding from Pre-Series-A to Series-C, and helping them craft global go-to-market strategies, achieve market growth, and create lasting value.

Doug Norton is the CMO for Inspire Semiconductor, an Austin-based startup leveraging the open RISC-V CPU instruction set architecture (ISA). He began his career in product development at IBM and moved into the sales and marketing organization to expand IBM’s reach into engineering/scientific markets. He then went on to various senior leadership positions at Cadence Design Systems and early stage companies such as CoWare, Newisys, Virtana, and Nimbix. Doug is also President of the Society of HPC Professionals, serves on multiple RISC-V International committees, and is a Mentor at the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) at The University of Texas. Doug earned a BS in Electrical Engineering cum laude from Missouri University of Science & Technology.

Ty Panagoplos has held very senior C-level roles at large global firms over the past 25 years, including JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers, Barclays, TD, and Santander. Ty has extensive global experience having led and built out teams in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, spanning many financial services business lines including both Retail and Capital Markets. He also has a detailed understanding of the regulatory environment and requirements in many global jurisdictions. Formally educated as an electrical engineer with extensive hands-on software development experience, Ty has a deep technical background, which is critical for making multi-million dollar architecture, design, and technology decisions, and for ensuring delivery of the most effective technology in support of the business. Ty has been responsible for technology vison and strategy, and has a strong track record of helping FinTech firms to align their strategy and capabilities to current needs and gaps in the market.
Lou is the former Executive Vice President who managed the NYSE transition from a manual market to an electronic/hybrid market and oversaw the trading floor for seven years, capping a 31-year career at the New York Stock Exchange. In addition, Lou was on the DTCC Board of Directors for seven years, chairing their Ops & Tech Committee, and was also a member of SIFMA’s Ops & Tech Committee. When Lou left the NYSE, he became a Director for the NSX Exchange, chairing their Regulatory Oversight Committee. As Managing Member, he helped found an advisory firm focused on technology and regulation, Global Markets Advisory Group (GMAG), and in that capacity was advisor to the recently filed-for-approval Green Impact Exchange (GIX), which is focused on bringing better environmental management to our markets.
Prakash Pattni is MD, Digital Transformation and partners with IBM’s financial services clients to deliver their transformation and digitization goals. Prakash has over 20 years of Financial Services experience gained with financial institutions like JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs across technology, investment banking, operations and finance. Prior to joining IBM in early 2021, Prakash was MD for Cloud Transformation at JPMorgan Chase. Prakash also leads IBM’s efforts with the start-up and Fintech community.
Alessandro Petroni is a visionary business and technology strategy executive with a passion for driving innovation and business growth. He has held leadership positions at top financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch Bank of America, and directed global FinServ strategy at Red Hat. Alessandro is a recognized thought leader, publishing numerous articles and authoring the Wiley e-book “Open APIs for Financial Services.” He is currently CEO of BusinessMesh Inc, a consulting startup focused on technology strategy development and AI solutions, and holds certifications from MIT and Harvard Business School, and an MS in Computer Sciences from the University of Trento, Italy.
Marco Pistoia, Ph.D. is Managing Director, Distinguished Engineer, and Head of JPMorgan Chase’s Global Technology Applied Research. He joined JPMorgan Chase in January 2020. Formerly, he was a Senior Manager, Distinguished Research Staff Member and Master Inventor at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center in New York, where he managed an international team of researchers responsible for Quantum Computing Algorithms and Applications. He is the inventor of over 250 patents, granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and over 300 patent-pending applications. He is also the author of over 400 scholarly papers published in international journals and conferences.
In his role as a Presales Director at AMD, Marty is a hands-on manager who collaborates with his
team of highly skilled technical experts to develop creative solutions for their clients’ complex
challenges. Together, they craft designs that drive compelling business outcomes using advanced
AMD technology. His team covers US East, US Central, and Canada. Marty’s vision encompasses all aspects of technology and business, with a focus on current and future trends in sustainability, artificial intelligence, data center efficiency, and more. Marty’s vast experience includes leadership positions in both large technology firms as well as channel partners, giving him a unique perspective to solving customer challenges. He has authored 21 books in the span of his career, his latest being “Edge to Cloud Solutions.” Marty holds graduate degrees in Information Technology and Management from New York University (NYU) and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.

Ryan is an expert at scale-out systems, UNIX kernel design, and profiling, and has been recognized for innovation in hardware and application design, as well as in messaging ontology and distributed event-driven systems. His current efforts bring machine learning, real-time streaming, set-selection, and digital signal processing technologies to bear on predictive analytics to provide self-healing for command and control systems.

J Ram serves as the VP/Co-Founder and CISO at Concourse Labs, a company specializing in automating and managing cloud governance and posture for multi-cloud environments. Before joining Concourse Labs, J Ram held the position of Head of Cloud at Goldman Sachs, where he oversaw cloud for RISK and Pricing (secBD). During his tenure, he successfully streamlined operations, facilitating significant growth in the secDB cloud, which in turn enabled new business opportunities. In his earlier career as the CTO of Morgan Stanley Infrastructure, J Ram played a pivotal role in developing the Aurora Platform and Compute Grid. His innovations and automation efforts resulted in the creation of a cutting-edge compute grid, ushering in a new era of financial products. J Ram’s contributions have been instrumental in shaping the landscape of cloud technology and financial services.

A previous winner of the Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Award (which has been called “the Pulitzer Prize of the business media”), John Russell leads HPCwire’s coverage of quantum computing and helped spearhead development of QCwire, Tabor Communications’ recently-launched monthly newsletter covering quantum information sciences. John has broad science and business journalism expertise with extensive knowledge of the biopharmaceutical and advanced IT industries. He was formerly a founding executive editor for Bio-IT World, which focused on the intersection of advanced computing technology and life sciences.
Anand Shah manages Strategic Partnerships at Quantinuum. He brings his background in computational sciences, materials informatics, and entrepreneurship to help enterprises formulate and implement long-term quantum computing R&D roadmaps, bridging the gap between applied research and business value. In his present role at Quantinuum, Anand has worked with organizations across the energy, pharmaceutical, industrial, and financial sectors to drive investment into and adoption of quantum technologies.
Matthew Shaxted is the CEO of Parallel Works, leading the organization to grow into a prominent provider of High Performance Computing (HPC) control plane technology. Since co-founding the company in June 2015, Matthew has been instrumental in guiding its expansion and innovation, leveraging his deep expertise in civil engineering simulation and data analytics. He plays a pivotal role in aligning customer needs with the company’s technology roadmap and effectively translating these requirements into business opportunities. Matthew’s visionary leadership and strategic insight continue to propel Parallel Works’ success in the HPC sector.
Kirk Schell is the Chief Executive Officer of BOXX Technologies, a leading provider of high-performance computing solutions. He has an extensive background in product development, marketing, and sales, focused on customer-driven innovation. Kirk joined BOXX in April 2024 after serving as President of global components at Arrow Electronics. Prior to that position, for over two decades, Kirk held a number of leadership roles at Dell Technologies. He served as Senior Vice President of multiple product groups, including the Commercial Client group, Dell Precision Workstations, the Dell Displays group, and as Senior Vice President of the Asia-Pacific sales region. Prior to his time at Dell, Kirk served as an Officer in the US Navy.

Before joining Hyperion Research, Bob worked 30 plus years for the U.S. Federal Government as a Senior Science and Technology analyst covering global advanced computing developments to support senior-level U.S. policy makers, including those in the White House, Department of Defense, and Treasury. Bob has a BSEE from the University of Rochester and a MSCS from George Washington University. He strongly prefers C to Python.

As CEO of Cornelis Networks, Lisa Spelman is responsible for the overall management of the company. She brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience, most recently serving as corporate vice president in the Data Center & AI Group and general manager of Xeon Products and Solutions at Intel Corporation. During her tenure, Lisa expanded Xeon’s capabilities to accelerate AI workloads, establishing CPUs as a leading inference engine across the industry. Lisa also held several senior leadership roles within Intel’s IT organization, including infrastructure operations and engineering, as well as positions in finance, data center product and brand marketing, and sales. Lisa is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a degree in business administration.

Jonathan Symonds is the Chief Marketing Officer for MinIO, where he is responsible for product marketing, demand generation, and corporate awareness. Previously, Jonathan was the CMO of Ayasdi, a pioneer in the field of machine intelligence, and was the VP of Marketing for GPU-powered analytics pioneer MapD. He has over 20 years of enterprise software and analytics marketing experience at Ace Metrix, 2Wire, and Tandberg, and holds an MBA from Cornell and a BA from Washington and Lee University.
Bruno G. Taketani is the Senior Manager of Quantum Solutions at ParTec, where he oversees the development of the company’s modular quantum computing products. He has over 15 years of experience in the field working on a wide range of topics, including HPC-QC integration, quantum algorithms and applications, and their implementation on several different physical platforms. Bruno is also dedicated to building the future of the quantum computing industry, working with the European Quantum Industry Consortium and as an advisor to the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking.

As the Chief Quantum and AI Solutions Officer, Dominic Ulmer is responsible for ParTec’s holistic quantum approach and AI solutions based on the dynamic modular system architecture. Until March 2020, he coordinated technical HPC and AI sales in the EMEA region at HPE. Prior to that, he was Vice President Business Operations EMEA at Cray and General Manager of the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre. Dominik is also a member of the Board of Non-Executive Directors at NAG and has extensive expertise in industry and the public sector.

Dino Vitale is a Distinguished Engineer in the Cloud Engineering group of TD Bank Group, leading the adoption of ML and AI across the enterprise. He is currently focusing on enabling various ML/AI cloud-based services and capabilities, including Generative AI, AI/ML ops, model risk governance/compliance, data engineering/pipelines, and helping applications teams adopt AI services (speech, language, translation). In previous roles, Dino helped revolutionize the adoption of multi-tenant HPC compute grids at various large financial services and designed/built large-scale shared compute environments and automation that supported risk management and analytics workloads. Dino has extensive architecture experience working with a wide range of technologies in designing/implementing data lakes, micro-services, HPC clusters, event streaming, data platforms, and implementing automation tooling for operational scalability and dev/sec ops.

Steve is an industry advisor to Starr Investment Holdings (SIH) and a co-founder of DynamicOps, a Credit Suisse spinout acquired by VMware. Previously, Steve was a Managing Director and Global Head of the IT Research & Development at Credit Suisse, including over 14 years of driving innovative technology into solutions that differentiated Credit Suisse’s Trading and Analytics technology platform.
